| This web site is run by local people working with Highclere Parish Society , the Parish Council and Highclere Church . We hope you will find it fun, useful and rewarding - it is designed to serve all local people and organisations, including our local schools and everyone in our communities. We need help with this! If you are an active Internet user, living anywhere in or near Highclere (or have any past or present connections with Highclere and our district) please get in touch and offer your help. No special skills are required - we can make you a webmaster in minutes! We are in the North West corner of the County of Hampshire, England, close to the busy town of Newbury (which is just across the county boundary in West Berkshire), but set in beautiful countryside. As well as our lovely Parish Church we have an active Highclere Parish Society , a local Parish Council , our Village Hall - used for everything from the Harvest Supper to theatrical performances - even our own local Stately Home, Highclere Castle. In the Directory and Links pages you will also find information about local pubs, hotels and bed and breakfast facilities, local services of all kinds, local businesses and social organisations. There is a Village Diary with information about events and happenings around the area, as well as a News page. We welcome additional entries for the directory, links, diary and news pages - write to info@highclerevillage.com with the information you would like us to publish. We want to get as many people and organisations as possible involved in developing this web site. No special skills are needed - we can make you a webmaster in minutes! Please get in touch if you want to help. |
