Your own Address @HighclereVillage.com

Now you can have your own, local email address!

Add a little distinction to your online personality with a HighclereVillage.com email address. Within a day or two and at a very low cost, you can have a personal, local email address like these:

John-Smith@HighclereVillage.com
or
The-Red-Lion@HighclereVillage.com

With the support of our web services provider, Loud-n-Clear.net, we are able  to offer this service for all local people and organisations in three different ways, all at very competitive rates while still providing a margin that contributes to the costs of running Highclere-on-the-Web:

1. Email re-direction

With this service you keep your existing address and internet service but you can send and receive messages 'as from' John-Smith@HighclereVillage.com Any messages that are sent to John-Smith@HighclereVillage.com are automatically forwarded to you as soon as they are received - you will seldom if ever notice any delay. And messages that you send will look as if they come from John-Smith@HighclereVillage.com. Our charge for this service is just £10 set up charge and £10 a year. Each additional email address for the same household or company is charged at £10 a year but with no additional set-up charge. Please note that in order to use this service you will need to have separate Internet access. This can be obtained free of charge, we can advise on suitable services.

For local community (not for profit) organisations we are able to provide a limited number of local email addresses at no charge. To discuss this please email info@highclerevillage.com or call Ian Briggs on 253995.

2. Full Internet access service including web space and up to five email addresses

With this service you get commercial-quality Internet access, which costs more than the free Internet services but which generally offers better performance, plus up to five of your own direct email addresses using the HighclereVillage.com domain. This means everyone in the family can their own personal address @HighclereVillage.com for one inclusive charge. The charge for this is £20 set up charge and £80 a year. If you prefer you can pay £25 a quarter. The service also includes a standard personal or company web site within the HighclereVillage.com domain, for example: http://www.highclerevillage.com/John-Smith. The pricing of this service compares with a typical monthly charge of around £10 (£120 per annum) for commercial services like AoL and CompuServe, which do not offer localised addresses and web space.

3. Complete website hosting and support service

We also offer a complete website hosting and support service. The basic cost is £150 set up and £350 a year, which includes all the facilities you will find in the Highclere and District website:

  • Your own domain name (there may be a small extra charge for registering the name)
  • Assisted web page creation and editing, without the need to learn any website techniques
  • Automated menu and navigation links creation
  • Directory facility (which can be used, for example, for products and services lists)
  • Links page(s), supported by our Links Management facility
  • News and Diary pages supported by our Diary Management facility
  • FAQs pages supported by our FAQs Management facility
  • Uploading of photographs and other images
  • Email addresses*
  • Internet access service
(* First 25 addresses included, thereafter £150 a year per additional 25 addresses)

We believe this is the most complete and easy-to-use ready-to-run website service currently available. You can use it to build your own website or we can introduce locally based specialists who will help you at very competitive rates.

To order any of these services of for further information please email info@highclerevillage.com or call Ian Briggs on 253995.

All profits remaining after paying the cost of providing these services go to cover the general costs of HighclereVillage.com. Any surplus is used to support local community activities and facilities.
