Where does the money come from to pay for the web site?
4 Mar 2000

A member of the local community, who wishes to remain anonymous, paid for the initial costs by registering the domain name (highclerevillage.com) and for web hosting for the first three months.

The Highclere Parish Society, the Parish Council and the Church have jointly underwritten the first year's running costs for the site. Our aim is to make the site self-funding by offering advertising space in conjunction with the Parish Magazine, by providing services to local people and businesses, and by inviting sponsorship.
