Annual Village Christmas Walk

On the 27th December Highclere Society, East Woodhay Society and Los Jubilados are organising the Annual Village Christmas Walk. Meet at the Red House in Highclere at 10.30am. All ages welcome. No need to book, just turn up on the day. Bring your family and friends. Walk in aid of the Ark Cancer Charity to provide a state of the art cancer treatment centre in Basingstoke. Rock Choir at Highclere Church

Rock Choir Concert on Saturday 24th November 2018 at 7.00pm Rock Choir is the UK’s most popular contemporary choir with communities singing together in over 300 towns across the country. Rock Choir in West Berkshire started in 2012 and now have choirs in Newbury, Thatcham, Tadley and Hungerford. They sing Pop, Rock and Motown songs in harmony and have sung at venues such as the 02 Arena, Kensington Palace, Wembley Stadium as well as local community events. We are lucky to be able to get them to entertain us and raise money for the Church. There will be drinks and canapes in the interval. Tickets are £15 per head and available from Jo Walsh, 01635 255013 or email joannawalsh@btconnect.com. This will be a popular event so please book early and support your Church. Saturday 19th May 2018 at 7.30pm “Burke and Hare” This was a great success, watch out for another production next year.

Village Charity Christmas Walk

Many thanks to those 170 people, including children and dogs who braved the snow and ice to take part in the Village Charity Christmas walk this year, and thanks of course to those who marshaled or contributed help in other ways. Through your support £600 was raised and was donated towards the Rosemary Cancer Appeal. Thank you to everyone for their generosity.

Highclere Christmas Carol Singers

Highclere Christmas Carol Singers – Tuesday 12th December Do you enjoy singing Christmas Carols? If so, why not join the Highclere Christmas Carol Singers as they go round the village singing carols in aid of Cancer Research. New faces will be very welcome, irrespective of age and singing ability. We are gathering at 9 Mount Close for a warming drink at 6.15pm and will set out round the village at 6.30pm prompt. There will be a comfort break half way round and we will finish at around 9.00 pm at the Red House when we will be joined members of the East Woodhay Silver Band and we understand a very talented local opera singer for a final round of Carols. Saturday 9th September 2017 in Highclere Village Hall, 11am to 4pm. To choose from the winning 12 which photo will be on the cover of the Highclere 2018 Calendar. Entry free, Tea/coffee/wine available. All proceeds to Highclere Parish Church.
