planning issues

Also

Mr D
Evans
51/02 TO CONSIDER THE
FOLLOWING PLANNING APPLICATIONS:
Erection
of a single storey rear extension
NO
OBJECTION
·
BDB/52712 HOLLY
DENE, TUBBS LANE, HIGHCLERE
Erection
of first floor front extension over garage
OBJECTION
for the following reasons:
Although
this extension projects less than the original application it still results in
an over-intensive development at the front of the site. This is not in keeping with other close
properties in this rural lane, nor the established character and development of
the area. It is undesirable and
visually unsatisfactory by means of height, scale, bulk and design.
It
would be detrimental to the amenities and privacy which the occupants of
neighbouring properties expect to enjoy, especially Crimble
Cottage
Construction
of one dwelling with garage
OBJECTION
for the following reasons:
More
details are required of the roof above the "conservatory" which appears to be
flat, and should not be used as a terrace, in the interest of preserving the
privacy of the neighbours. In
winter the view from Mount Road would be of a white rendered building with a
single storey projection having a flat roof. Both of these specifications will be
totally out of keeping with other properties in Mount
Road.
CONDITIONS
TO BE APPLIED IF APPROVED
A
hedgerow should be maintained at the boundary to Mount Road and all trees on the
site retained in order to preserve the visual rural character of this area.
COMMENT
The
proposed access is on a blind bend and is extremely dangerous. The established access via Tubbs Lane
would be safer.
·
BDB/52991 FIR
TREES ANDOVER ROAD, WASH WATER
Erection
of single storey rear, side and front extensions
NO
OBJECTION subject to the following conditions:
All
trees and hedges at the site shall be retained
·
BDB/52994 1
BURFIELD, TUBBS LANE, HIGHCLERE
Reduction
of Oak Tree by 20% and crown thinning of one oak tree by 10%
NO
OBJECTION
The meeting was briefly
adjourned by the Chairman to allow Mr D Evans to address the Council. The meeting was then
resumed.
