AIMS & MISSION STATEMENT

  HIGHCLERE
      SOCIETY

Mission Statement

To bring together the people of the parish and promote a sense of community and a regard for the environment in the parish.

Our objectives are to:

  • Maintain our rural atmosphere and improve the quality of life, consistent with a community living within an area designated as being of 'outstanding natural beauty'.
  • Safeguard architecture,services and the established way of life of residents,whilst supporting sympathetic planning/development as appropriate. 
  • Promote knowledge and understanding of the parish to existing residents,newcomers, neighbours and visitors.

   Our aims are:

  • To promote high standards of planning and architecture.
  • To educate ourselves and others in the geography, (natural) history and architecture.
  • To promote research,make surveys,maps,collect information and publish it.
  • To be aware of the varying needs of our members,parishioners and strive tp perserve the mix/balance of this rural community.
  • To promote community spirit in the parish by organising events,to entertain,communicate and challenge.
